Nay, by the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humans, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
