Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
