Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
