In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
