Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
