And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 about what they did. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
