And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
