By no means! By the moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until death approached us". 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
