Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
