The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 pay their religious tax 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
