O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
