Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
