Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
