Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
