Al-Sharrhh
Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 And We have taken off from thee thy burthen, 2 the burden that weighed down thy back? 3 Have We not raised your remembrance? 4 But lo! with hardship goeth ease, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So, whenever you are free, strive in devotion, 7 And incline towards your Lord. 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
