Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 while We had brought the jinn into being before out of blazing fire. 27 But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard; 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 and there shall be a curse upon you till the Day of Recompense." 35 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected." 36 He answered: 'You are among those reprieved 37 till the appointed time. 38 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." 42 And verily Hell is the place promised unto them all. 43 To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
