'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 and those who give to others what has been bestowed upon them with their hearts trembling at the thought that they must return to their Lord; 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 “Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us.” 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
