So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
