The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
