O you who believe! Eat not Riba (usury) doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. 130 And fear the Fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers. 131 Obey God and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another, hastening to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a garden whose breadth is as the heavens and earth, prepared for the godfearing 133 Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). 134 (Paradise) is also for those who, when committing a sin or doing injustice to themselves, remember God and ask Him to forgive their sins. Who can forgive sins besides God? And who do not knowingly persist in their mistakes? 135 (As for) these-- their reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them, and excellent is the reward of the laborers. 136 There have been many dispensations before you; so travel in the land and see what befell those who denied the truth. 137 This Quran is an exposition for the people and a guidance and admonition for those who fear God. 138 So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith. 139 If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers. 140 And so that Allah may purify* the believers, and destroy the disbelievers. (* Forgive them their sins, if any.) 141 Did you think that you could go to Paradise before God knew which of you fought for His cause and which of you bore patience? 142 Ye did indeed wish for death before ye met him: Now ye have seen him with your own eyes, (And ye flinch!) 143
