The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
