Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
