Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
