'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 And ease my task for me; 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 To strengthen me 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 Saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him up. And I cast on thee love from Me in order that thou mayest be formed under Mine eye. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
