O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 But if the truth were in accord with their own likes and dislikes, the heavens and the earth would surely have fallen into ruin, and all that lives in them [would long ago have perished]! Nay, [in this divine writ] We have conveyed unto them all that they ought to bear in mind: and from this their reminder they [heedlessly] turn away! 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
