1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 What, do we then not die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 They can only return to hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
