And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful. 29 AND UNTO DAVID We granted Solomon [as a son - and] how excellent a servant [of Ours he grew up to be]! Behold, he would always turn unto Us 30 When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well trained horses of the highest breed [for Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause)]. 31 And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]." 32 Bring them back to me' And he hacked their legs and necks (slaughtering them for Allah). 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 We subjected the wind to him, so that it blew gently at his bidding, wherever he directed it, 36 And [also] the devils [of jinn] - every builder and diver 37 and others joined together by (iron) fetters. 38 This is Our free gift, therefore give freely or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And most surely he had a nearness to Us and an excellent resort. 40
