The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
