Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
