The pious will live in gardens with streams 45 Enter therein in peace, secure. 46 We shall remove all hatred from their breasts and make them as brothers reclining on thrones facing one another. 47 No weariness shall ever touch them in this [state of bliss,] and never shall they have to forgo it. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 And verily My torment! that is the torment afflictive 50 Tell them of Abraham's guests. 51 When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you." 52 They said, “Do not fear – we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They said: "The good tiding we give you is of truth. Do not, therefore, be of those who despair." 55 He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? 56 Messengers, what is your task?" 57 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, 58 Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all 59 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] 'We have ordained [that,] behold, she should be among those who stay behind!' 60
