By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
