We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night.
