So I swear by whatsoever you see, 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 it is not the word of a poet -- how little you believe! -- 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We would surely have seized him by the right hand, 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 And not one of you could have withheld Us from him. 47 Surely it is a Reminder to the godfearing; 48 And behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it: 49 and (on the Day of Judgment) this will be a great source of regret for the unbelievers. 50 And He, He is indeed the ultimate Reality. 51 So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord. 52
