and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Most surely these do say: 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
