Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
