Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Say, "It has been revealed to me that a band of the jinn listened [to the Quran] and they said, "We have heard a really wonderful recital, 1 It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. 2 and that “He exalted be His Majesty has not taken to Himself either a wife or a son”; 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah - 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 And indeed they imagined, even as ye imagined, that Allah will not raise any one. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. 9 And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude. 10 ‘And among us some are virtuous and some are the other type; we are split into several branches.’ 11 We have realized that we could never thwart God on earth and that we would never be able to thwart Him by flight. 12 When we heard the Guidance, we believed in it, and whosoever believes in his Lord shall fear neither shortage nor injustice. 13 And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam - such have endeavoured after a path of rectitude. 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement: 17 And [know] that all worship is due to God [alone]: hence, do not invoke anyone side by side with God! 18 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd." 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
