Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
