The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to those who give less [than due], 1 Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully, 2 but when they measure or weigh, give less. 3 Do not these think that they shall be raised again 4 On a Mighty Day, 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 Ah! what will convey unto thee what Sijjin is! - 8 It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed. 9 Woe, on that day, to those who have rejected God's revelations 10 Those who deny the Day of Judgment 11 And none gives the lie to it but every exceeder of limits, sinful one 12 When Our verses are recited to him, he says: 'Fictitious tales of the ancients' 13 No indeed; but that they were earning has rusted upon their hearts. 14 No indeed; but upon that day they shall be veiled from their Lord, 15 then they shall enter the Fire of Hell, 16 and be told: "This is the [very thing] to which you were wont to give the lie!" 17 Indeed the record of the virtuous is in the highest place, the Illiyin. 18 Ah, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! - 19 It is a written book, 20 witnessed by those brought nigh. 21 Verily, Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil) will be in delight (Paradise). 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 upon their faces thou wilt see the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be given a drink of pure wine whereon the seal [of God] will have been set, 25 The seal thereof will be of musk. And to this end let the aspirers aspire 26 With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim: 27 A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah. 28 Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe. 29 When passing by them, they would wink at one another 30 And when they went back to their people turned to make fun of them; 31 and when they saw them said: 'These are they who are astray' 32 Yet they were not sent as watchers over them. 33 But today the believers are laughing at the unbelievers; 34 On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). 35 Are not the disbelievers paid for what they used to do? 36
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
