The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
