۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 and say: 'What, are our gods better, or is he?' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation. 58 He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample unto the Children of Israil. 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way. 61 and do not let satan prevent you, for he is your clear enemy. 62 And when Isa came with evidences, he said: of a surety I have come unto you with wisdom, and to expound unto you some of that wherein ye differ; so fear Allah and obey me. 63 Verily God is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight path." 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 Are they waiting for the Hour of Doom when the torment will suddenly strike them and they will not even realize from where it came? 66 Friends on that day will be foes, one to another,- except the Righteous. 67
