The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 He taught distinctness. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
