After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 47 "And also our forefathers?" 48 (Muhammad), say, "All the ancient and later generations 49 shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. 50 Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers, 51 you will indeed have to taste of the tree of deadly fruit, 52 "Then will ye fill your insides therewith, 53 and thereupon you shall drink boiling water, 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 This is their entertainment on the day of requital. 56 We have created you: why then do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 did you create it or did We? 59 We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable, 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect? 62 So what is your opinion regarding what you sow? 63 Do you give it its increase, or are We the giver? 64 If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder, 65 Lo! we are laden with debt! 66 nay, we are deprived [altogether]." 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 If We had so pleased, We could have made it bitter. So why would you not give thanks? 70 Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We have made it as a reminder and convenience for the needy. 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
