Al-Najm 3 of 3
Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
