▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But such as fears the Station of his Lord, for them shall be two gardens -- 46 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 49 Wherein are two fountains flowing. 50 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 51 In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. 52 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 55 There will be bashful maidens untouched by mankind or jinn before. 56 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 57 They are like rubies and coral-stone. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 61 Besides this, there will be two other gardens. 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 Dark green (in colour). 64 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 65 therein two fountains of gushing water -- 66 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 67 In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. 68 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 71 Pure ones confined to the pavilions. 72 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful decorated carpets. 76 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
