Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
