Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
