The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
