Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
