The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
