Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24
We sent forth Noah to his nation. He said: 'Worship Allah, my people for you have no god except He. I fear for you the punishment of a great Day.' 59 but the leading men of his people said, "Truly, we see that you are obviously lost in error!" 60 (Noah) said, "My people, I am not in any error, rather I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Universe, 61 I bring to you the messages of my Lord, and give you sincere advice, for I know from God what you do not know. 62 “And are you surprised that an advice came to you from your Lord through a man amongst you, so that he may warn you and that you may fear, and so that there be mercy upon you?” 63 And yet they gave him the lie! And so We saved him and those who stood by him, in the ark, the while We caused those who had given the lie to Our messages to drown: verily, they were blind folk! 64
